And if you are still hesitating - here is proof why I am happy I receive the digests or I would have missed this amazing Financial Times Article by Simon Schama, respected art critic. Check it out http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SAQA/

Are YOU a SAQA Yahoo group follower?
I must confess that I don't follow the chat group regularly but every once in a while something catches my eye that is of relevance or particular interest. Just today I have been following an interesting thread about Art Quilt shows and judging.
The following cought my eye initially and I felt the need to share:
Jean Ray Laury, an early inspiration to many of us, passed away on Wednesday. She is such a memorable icon in the art quilting world!
This article is a true tribute to Jean:

Membership update
I have just spent some time this afternoon reviewing the SAQA regional membership pages. There are two lists on the SAQA website that differ somewhat. I realized that several new members have not been officially welcome yet!
I apologize for this oversight and want everyone to know that when you look at the membership list and notice a member's name missing - do not hesitate to contact me immediately and make me aware of this!
While you are on the blog - please have a look at the list and check if the info provided for you is up-to-date!
Thanks, Anna
